Little La Gomera Island Welcomes Giant Monarch Cruise Ship

La Gomera is a popular port for cruise ships and many stop here for cruise passengers to explore this beautiful, small island. However, this week the Monarch cruise ship arrived at San Sebastian de La Gomera, and was the biggest cruise ship that has ever berthed at this island.

This giant cruise ship arrived with a full capacity of 2600 passengers and 1200 crew members, and is also the largest cruise ship of the company it belongs to, and was built in 1991 in France.

This marks the second cruise ship that has arrived at La Gomera for the new cruise ship season, and 58 more cruise ships are expected over this season. This is likely to mean around 95,000 cruise ship passengers will soon be arriving in La Gomera. Hopefully, they won’t all arrive on the same day.
